Lumpy, Firm or Uneven After Lipo? How Endermologie Helps with Post-Surgical Fibrosis

You've invested in your results. If your recovery has left firm, lumpy or uneven areas, here's what's going on and how targeted treatment can help.

Liposuction, BBL, tummy tucks and other body contouring procedures are a big decision. So it can be frustrating when, weeks after surgery, the area feels hard, lumpy or tight, or just doesn't look as smooth as you expected.

Often, the cause is fibrosis. It's a common part of healing after cosmetic surgery, and the good news is that it can respond well to the right treatment.

What is post-surgical fibrosis?

When tissue is injured, including during surgery, the body lays down collagen to repair it. Sometimes that repair tissue forms in a dense, disorganized way. Combined with lingering swelling, this can show up as:

  • Firm or hard areas under the skin

  • Lumps, ridges or an uneven, "bumpy" surface

  • Tightness or a pulling sensation when you move

  • Areas that feel numb or different from the surrounding tissue

  • Swelling that seems to linger longer than expected

Fibrosis is most common after liposuction, BBL and abdominal procedures, but it can follow other surgeries too.

Why early, consistent care matters

Fibrotic tissue tends to become more established over time. Addressing it once your surgeon has cleared you for treatment gives you the best chance of softening those areas and supporting smoother, more even results.

That's why we always work alongside your surgeon's guidance. If anything we see during treatment needs medical attention, we'll refer you back to them.

How Endermologie works

Endermologie is a non-invasive mechanical treatment that uses our LPG Alliance device. The treatment head gently lifts and rolls the skin and underlying tissue, providing controlled, rhythmic stimulation.

For post-surgical clients, it is used to:

  • Mobilize and soften fibrotic, hardened tissue

  • Stimulate lymphatic flow to help reduce lingering swelling

  • Improve skin and tissue texture in treated areas

  • Support more even contours as you heal

Treatment is comfortable, and the pressure and technique are adjusted to your stage of healing and how your tissue responds.

Combining Endermologie with lymphatic drainage

For many clients, the best results come from pairing Endermologie with manual lymphatic drainage (MLD). Our therapists are trained in the Vodder method, and MLD gently moves excess fluid, which helps with swelling and tissue comfort. Endermologie then works on the firmer, fibrotic areas.

Your treatment plan depends on your procedure, how far into recovery you are, and what we find at your first assessment.

What to expect at Dynamic Rebalance

Your first visit starts with a conversation about your surgery, your recovery so far, and any concerns. We assess the treated areas, then build a plan that may include Endermologie, lymphatic drainage, or both.

Most clients see the best progress with a series of sessions rather than a one-off treatment. We offer treatment packages and dedicated cosmetic surgery recovery programs to keep your care consistent and cost-effective.
